I'm a friend of Guy and Kamee's from Virginia ... Sydney is an inspiration ... as are her parents. I hope you will add to your "things to pray for" continued strength for Mom and Dad. My daughters and I are praying for all of you and especially for Sydney's complete recovery.

Sydney, You do not know me, but I am a friend of Uncle Grant. I have followed your path through your website and simply want to wish you and your family the very BEST. I also want to give you a couple of thoughts that I think are appropriate... First, is a little saying that I think is so true...it goes "Tis not the softer things of life which stimulate our will to survive; but bleak adversity and strife do most to keep our will alive. O'er rose -strewn paths the weaklings creep, but brave hearts dare to climb the steep". You, sweet Sydney are one of those brave hearts.
And finally, something my dad used to tell me..."A helpless sparrow can drift with the wind, but it takes and eagle to fly against the storm" Soar high little eagle.
Your friend in spirit,
Mike Holt

Hi there Sydney,
I'm a good friend of your Aunt Marcee and Uncle Grant. I understand you are in the hospital. It sounds like you are a great patient, always helping the nurses and the doctors. I read in your newsletter that you are going to NYC. Well that will be a grand adventure.
I'm so glad there is a newsletter about you so everyone can be kept up to date about what's happing to you.
Your big wheel story is super. I also like seeing your picture. You are a special young lady and I hope and pray you feel better soon.
Take care and enjoy riding on the big wheel.

Hi Thweatt Family!
I am praying Ephesians 3:16-20 for you all today!
Lord I pray that you would strengthen the Thweatts in their inner persons, and that you would dwell powerfully in their hearts through faith. I pray that they would be rooted and established in love. I also pray, as a family, that they would know and experience the length, width, height, and depth of Christ's love which surpasses knowledge and be filled with all of the FULLNESS of YOU Lord. Lord, we know you are able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think. To You be the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

Dear Sydney, Timothy and I enjoy reading your newsletters and we love praying for you. We lift you up constantly to the LORD for He can do all things! One of my favorite Psalms is Psalms 27. I love all the verses. The last two verses are ones that I placed on my kitchen window so that I would see it everytime I did the dishes. It says "I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD. Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD!" So Timothy and I are claiming all that goodness that the LORD has for YOU in this land of the living. We are waiting with our faces turned up toward Him, and expecting the great things that He has for YOU!
I hurt my back and have been in the hospital. When it gets better and I can drive, then Timothy and I will bring you a basket of fun things just for you. We hope to see you soon! We love you, Ms. Darby and Timothy

Lynette and James, What a blessing it is to read your updates. It helps us know how to pray and lifts our faith to know how the Lord is being glorified throughout this trial. I found this verse this morning and the Lord prompted me to send it on to you. You are loved and thought of often! We are praying. "The Lord also will be a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble, and those who know Thy name will put their trust in Thee; for Thou, O Lord, hast not forsaken those who seek Thee." (NASB Ps.9:9-10) With love and hugs, The Mighells

Lynrtte and James, we have kept up wit your little angels progress through Marcee and Grant. Words seem so inadequate to express the sorrow that we feel for the two of you, Sydney and you boys. We are praying that the Holy Spirit-as promised will provide all your needs-and cover you with the fruits of the spirit. We have all heard the promise that the Lord won't ever give us more than we can handle and that all things work together for good for those that love him-I am praying that your faith will bring you into a full knowledge of these promises and that the comfort of the Lord will surround you on the journey. If there is anything we can do for you-please let me know. We will pray every day for a complete healing and for the rest of her treatment to be successful and easy on her precious body. We love you all. Janis and Sam Brous

Aileen Pratt is my dearest friend and I have met your mother, Sydney. Aileen shared with me young Sydney's illness and I want you to know that I will keep all of you in my prayers on Saturday mornings when I go to synagogue. Please take hope in knowing that the 14 year old son of very close family friends just underwent a bone-marrow transplant at Johns Hopkins and, thank God, is doing very well. Also, one of my good friends here, now aged 45, had a bone marrow transplant when she was 28 and is doing great. I wish Sydney a speedy and complete recovery and wish you, her parents, much strength in getting through a difficult time.
