Sweet Lynette,
As I wrote the prayer update tonight for our prayer warriors, I remembered your words that you encouraged all of us with on 11/12/06. I'm reminding you of them now and know the Lord will use them to minister to your spirit and tostrenghten you with His mighty right hand.

"He generally waits to send His help until the time of our greatest need, so that His hand will be plainly seen in our deliverance . . . so that we will not trust anything that we may see or feel, as we are so prone to do, but will place our trust solely on His Word--which we may always depend upon, no matter our circumstances. "

Dear Sydney, Lynette, and James,

Please know that the Garcias continue to keep you in our prayers. I kept a paper letter we wrote to you last year but didn't send (we sent the note by email) hanging up in our kitchen as a reminder to us to keep on praying for you. Sydney, you're in my thoughts & prayers. I & my teammates are gearing up for another season of training & fundraising with Team in Training to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. You are an incredible source of inspiration to us.

I am praying for Sydney and your entire family. I know about Sydney from my friend Karen Koop. My sister-in-law had a transplant several years ago, so that gives me an added interest. Remember that you are loved by God, you are not alone even when you are lonely, and your situation is not out of God's control. I pray that you wil be filled with the peace and mercy of God.
