Dear Lynette, I am a niece of Susan Raybourn's and have been following your website daily since August. I read something this week that I just cannot pass up writing to you. I have two boys, ages 3 and 1, so the trials and joys of being a mother resonate with me. I found this book called "The 100 Most Important Bible Verses for Mothers" and read this the other day: (condensed somewhat) Isaiah 26:3 "You, Lord give true peace to those who depend on you, because they trust you." commentary, "As a mom, you rarely relax. You do it all. You are everything for your children...God has a very specific place of rest and it is just for you. That place is perfect peace...He will safely carry you and give you calm no matter how rough the waters of your life. Turn your thoughts continually to God. Do not give in to the stress around you, but trust and experience quiet calm." (pg.209)
peace to you Lynette, Sarah

Precious family: We all continue to pray, pray, pray. Will add to our prayers your directives!!! I pray God has not held on to your precious Sydney, only to let her go to Him for after this long, long battle here on Earth. Rather, return her to all who love and pray for her to become: whole, alive and a little diciple for Him!!!Her brothers are amazing and Sydney is holding them up as well as you Mom and Dad, just as Russell holds up when he is "down"---May God continue to touch you daily in all you do, say, think and feel. Praying as always, Nancy Baker et al

Praying for Sydney's healing and for strength and encouragement for all the Thweatt family. Your faith is such an inspiration. "So do not fear, for I am with you;do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

Sydney and your family remain in my thoughts and prayers. I'm so happy to hear that she's come through the difficult fast and is feeling better. Praise God! I hope you can get a bit of rest now, Lynette.

You are an amazing family strengthened only by your faithful love for our precious Lord. This really is why we are here.....to be an example as God would have us to be to the world...to show our undying faith in Him. You certainly are doing that! I keep writing down the requests and try to be faithful to pray for the right answers everyday. Sydney is a strong and brave little girl. I know you are very proud of her. I look forward to meeting her on your return to Dallas. Until then, stay strong. You are an inspiration to all.

Dear Youngs, Well, we weren't promised an easy road, but we are to continually praise and glorify his name in all circumstances and you are doing as we are taught. We hope Sydney gets to go home soon. The Frys

I am grateful to you, Lynette and to you James, for these updates... for sharing your hearts so well, as you always do, but especially for the length and detail. I love reading about Sydney's courage (and yours) and I love reading about the details of God's provision for you.
Sharon and I continue to pray for you all and to share your joy and your burden! We love you!

Hi Lynette, I just read your latest entry with tears in my eyes. You are so strong and so full of courage! You said you feel disappointed and discouraged and that you are embarrassed by these feelings. I cannot tell you how to feel, but please don't be embarrassed!!! I think what you are experiencing is very, very real and very "normal" (is there such a thing?!). It sounds like you are disappointed/discouraged by the situation you are in, not by God. I think about you and Sydney all the time and you are both such an inspiration to me. Peace. Catherine
