James and Lynette,

Our family continues to pray that the Lord will keep you in His perfect peace just as He promises to do for those whose mind is stayed on Him (Isaiah 25:3)Through the ages our hymns of faith have given praise and honor to the Lord and strength and comfort to His saints. They help us keep our eyes in Him. This is a beautiful hymn:
The Christian's Hope Can Never Fail
Taken from the Gadsby Hymnal #245

We travel through a barren land,
With dangers thick on every hand;
But Jesus guides us through the vale;
O, The Christian's hope can never fail.

Huge sorrows meet us as we go,
And devils aim to overthrow;
But vile infernals can't prevail;
O, The Christian's hope shall never fail.

Sometimes we're tempted to despair,
But Jesus makes us then His care;
Though numerous foes our souls assail;
O, The Christian's hope can never fail.

We trust upon the sacred word,
The oath and promise of the Lord;
And safely through each tempest sail;
O, The Christian's hope can never fail.

"According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled and unfading, kept in heaven for you..." I Peter 1:3,4

I believe with all my heart that He can heal you and I can't wait to see the miracle that He's doing in you even now. And what a beautiful smile you have!
I work for your Uncle Grant. He is an awesome man and loves you very much. I will continue to pray for you and your sweet family every day. Love, Terri

I'm a member at Watermark and I have been praying for your daughter for some time now. She comes to mind daily. This is my first visit to your website and I am in tears as I look at it. My wife and I have 3 kids(2 boys and 1 girl) with our girl being the oldest at 4 1/2. She's in the enrichment 1 class at Providence. I can't help but to try to put myself in your shoes as I envision going through what you've endured with my own daughter. I am putting together a prayer sheet so that our entire family and particularly Olivia(my 4 1/2 year old) can pray diligently for your family. I would love at some point for my family to meet you and Sydney though I'm sure you guys are bombarded with visitors and want to be sensitive to that. Please know that despite the incredible hardship that all of you have faced through this trial, the Lord has used it for good in my life to humble me and reveal His incredible mercy and grace bestowed to my family. Through it, He has given me a spirit of thankfulness for my own family's health, a recognition of how important it is to live in the present because life is temperal, and an awareness to hold my children with more of an open the hand. May God richly bless your family and particularly Syndey. We will continue to pray diligently for a miracle! Tyler Whann and Family

Hey there,

The Cutler family enjoyed sharing Thanksgiving with your family. It was a very special day for us. Our time together was a reminder of all we have to be thankful for and to rejoice in Amazing Grace. To top that off the food was great and the Cowboys won! Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Lynette,
Your burden is so heavy. And your authenticity is indescribable.

I read this tonight in prayer over your family.

Psalm 62 v.5 - 8 "My soul waits in silence for God only;
For my HOPE is from Him.
He only is my Rock and my Salvation; My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.
On God my salvation and my glory REST;
The Rock of my strength, my Refuge is in God.
TRUST IN HIM AT ALL TIMES, O people;
Pour out your heart before Him;
God is a REFUGE for YOU."

Psalm 63
vs.3 - 4 Because Thy lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips will praise Thee,
So I will bless Thee as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands in Thy name..."
vs. 6 - 8 "When I remember Thee on my bed, I meditate on Thee in the night watches,
For Thou hast been my help,
And in the shadow of Thy wings I sing for joy. My soul clings to Thee; Thy right hand upholds me."

I pray for Sydney to be healed by God. And I also pray she will continue to live out His will for her life in such a bold and amazing way! She spurs me on to live for our King!

In His Love,
Becky Ellerman

Hi everybody...
We love you guys and are praying really harder than I think I ever have. I was so encouraged by your letter Lynette, because the Lord has been teaching be about being thankful, about praising Him, about Giving thanks for He is good. I've sung it all my life, I've even said those words. But to actually stop and do it has been transforming in my life. He tells us to give thanks not just because He is so deserving, but because He knows it is good for us too. Thanks for encouraging me to always...always...not matter the circumstance, to give thanks. He is truly worthy! Love you sooo much!

I continue to pray for your entire family. Keep your courage and positive attitude and know that so many, many people are praying for Sydney, you, and her medical team.
Barry and I remember how hard many decisions are when faced with the life of your child, but knowing that you have fought for her life with all possible resources of sciene, prayer, and determination does give peace. Mary Beck
