Lynette,James & Boys,
I can't begin to imagine the pain hovering over your hearts right now. Sydney was a special little girl. She accomplished more than many have in an entire lifetime. She was alittle warrior, strong in spirit, and undaunted by her illness, or by the overwhelming odds against her. In her beat a heart of a champion .I know she is wearing one of the "crowns of glory". I know that you must feel the love & prayers that are being sent you way, so hold on to that to keep you strong.I am praying for you everyday.
Love, Ms. Nancy

I was sad to hear of Sydney's passing, and sad not to get a chance to say goodbye. It was truly amazing to get to know such a wonderful family and such a wonderful little girl as Sydney! I know she is in a better place now. But we can all remember her as a fun-loving, high-spirited, brave girl. Your family faith and family bond have really touched my heart, and it was a pleasure being in your lives.

James, I got a call from Donna and she told me about your daughter. I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds like she was a wonderful child with a great spirit and had a wonderful loving supportive family and friends by her side. I can't even imagine what to say to you and you family at this time but to remember what a wonderful time you all had together as a family remember her spirit and her smile and what joy she brought to everyone's life she touched. James, I haven't seen you since our last reunion and I hope you remember me, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Love Jonni

I am so terribly sorry for your loss. I am friends with Lucinda Buford and she has shared Sydney's journey with me over the last year. I lost my daughter to AML more than three years ago when she was nine months and now run Heroes for Children in her memory in Dallas.

Sadly, the pain never goes away, but it does ease a bit. I miss my daughter every day and wish she were here with us, but her memory carries on and the memories are happy ones, not sad. I remember the smiles and the shining vibrant eyes. I hope that for you and your family. If you ever want to speak to another mother who has "been there," Lynette, I am always available.

Lastly, I know I am a stranger and this is stepping over my bounds a bit, but I have a suggestion--If you can, take a trip with your family. I sincerely credit that for saving my marriage after the death of our daughter. We focused on our family, our love, and escaped the good hearts and good intentions of family and friends. We were able to isolate ourselves a bit and blend in to a crowd where no one knew us or our pain (we took a cruise). It helped in our case, it really did. I suggest that if you can, give it a thought.

Please know I am thinking of your family.

Sydney's service today was absolutely beautiful. The music was uplifting, the slide show was endearing, the stories were joyful and captivating. AJ giggled with delight in the car as we left the ceremony...sorry, Johnson, but we loved hearing how you hid out in Sydney's Barbie playhouse! You were a great big brother with a very big heart! I am sure Sydney watched from the heavens and delighted in every thoughtful detail! May God bless you each with the joy of many beautiful memories and the solace and comfort of family and friends. I still pray and wish for you peace.
Fondly,
Mary

Dear Thweatt Family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss, but we have hope that Sydney was that dear little star in this life, and she lived God's plan to the fullest; never giving up!! She is a HUGE inspiration in this world!! Sydney has brought many to Christ, and she had such a positive outlook on her life; even in the most extreme conditions!! When I am ever down, I learned to keep a prayer journal, and write the good things that happened throughout the day; I learned to do so through Sydney. our family (and many more) have been touched by her spirit!! God bless you!

We were so sorry to hear about Sydney. We were all inspired by her strength. We walked in the Light the Night walk in our area last night, we placed two gold memory ribbons on the boys banner for Sydney. We know your faith will help you through this difficult time. We will never forget your wonderful family. God Bless You all.

Dear Thweatt family,
The service today was a picture of Jesus Christ in each of you and Sydney's life. Thank you for making His name great in our body of believers and all across the country! I felt the Lord's mighty presence there today, and I know He is pleased with you, His precious servants. I am so encouraged and inspired by your amazing faith. Thank you, again, for your testimony and for allowing us to be a part of your lives. I wish I could do more, but please know I will continue to pray for each of you.
Much love,
Tara Porter

Lynette and James, my husband, Richard and I were at Sydney's service today. That is the ONLY service I have ever attended, where I found my tears off and on during the service turned to smiles and actually joy and comfort when we stood to walk out. My heart was so full of praise & thankfulness that your precious daughter is no longer in pain, thin and sick. The loss will be forever for you and for so many who knew her. The loss is also felt by those of us who checked your website DAILY for news--knowing now her reward is living with Christ, but somehow feeling strange not staying in "contact" in some small way.
I have spoken with my daughter-in-law in Austin to tell her what a truly magnificant service it was and how calm and reassured I was leaving.
Thank you is so inadequate when making an attempt to tell you how grateful my family is that we were able to, from Dallas, in our homes, to walk along this journey "somewhat"!
This has been a life changing experience and a divine gift to see how each family member walked with Sydney and with Christ at the center.
YES MANY lives have been changed, permanently, because of this small child with a heart for everyone, everywhere.
I know for a fact our family will never be the same. Our faith has grown and matured, our trust, if possible, is even deeper.
We will all continue daily, to pray for strength as you return to your home with your sons and once again slowly return back to the living of life in its routines and activities and yet always feeling Sydney's spirit will be a part of your lives until you are all together again. With gratitude and praise I again thank you for sharing your daughter and her journey from her time on earth & back to her Heavenly Father. It was a priviledge to be able to attend her service today.
