We are encouraged by your strength and dependence on God for peace. It is amazing to read your thoughts and hear how God changes your hearts to rest in Him. We pray Syndey will be fully healed very soon!

I saw you on t.v. today as I was watching the Neiman Marcus parade. You looked so cute on your scooter. I miss you alot and hope we get to talk soon! I have been praying for you and think you are the bravest friend I know. Anna Kathryn wants you to know she misses you also and cares for you very much.

Sydney,
My wife, Holly, and I are good friends with your Aunt Marcee and Uncle Grant. We live in Fort Worth, and they are two of the best friends we have. Holly and I have three year old twins -- a boy and a girl. Their names are Robert and Lottie. Of all of the great gifts Jesus has given us, they are the best. I want you to know how important you are to Holly, Robert, Lottie and me. As their daddy, I have always wanted to get them excited about praying to God with me every day -- not just to repeat a prayer I say for them, but to really talk to God and thank Him for the gifts He has given them and to ask Him for the things they want.

All four of us had the best time walking for "Team Sydney" in Fort Worth a couple of months ago with your uncle Grant. During the walk we were each given a bracelet with your name, Sydney Myna Thweatt, on it. Mine and Robert's are orange and Holly's and Lottie's are purple. Every night before Robert and Lottie go to bed, we thank God for everything He has done for us, we apologize for things we have done wrong, and we always end with the same thing -- we look at our bracelets and remember to thank God for you, we pray for you to get better and we thank God for bringing you into our lives. A lot of times, we will pray on our own for you during the day and will thank God for the strength He has given you and for the inspiration that you are to us. We know that what you are going through is tough, but we also know that you are tough! One of my favorite Bible verses says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Just seeing your smile on your website and hearing of your joy, determination and happiness reminds us each and every day how true that verse is. I know we've never met, but Holly, Robert, Lottie and I want you to know how much we love you, how much we are praying for you and how much we thank God for bringing you into our lives. You are truly an inspiration to our whole family.

I would really like to how Sydney is doing. I have not seen any updates. I am a 2moms e-subsriber and have Sydney in my thoughts and prayers all the time. Please update even if it is short. My prayers are with you the parents as well. i can only imagine how hard this is. But yet your unfailing strentgh in the lord is amazing through all of this. i am always in awe as to how you acknowledge him while you walk through this valley. Dear Sydney,
When I was your age, my best friend got the same thing you have. Even though I am now in college, I still remember how much fun we had playing around at the hospital, making turkeys out of the nurse's gloves. Her favorite hymn was "Be Not Dissmayed Whate'er Betide" and we would always sing it. I remember how much it cheered both of us up so I thought I'd share it with you (though I bet you already learned it at Providence):
