Dear Sydney,
I am a friend of your Aunt Holly's and her family and of your neighbors in Dallas the Sampson's. You are an incredible young lady and you have so many people praying for you and your family. I was tickled to learn that we share the same birthday. You turned 8 and I turned 48! I pray that you continue to improve every minute, hour and day.

We are rejoicing with tears of joy to hear of the successful surgery, Sydney's determination and your continued faithfulness. The poem by Sydney's cousin helped us so much to understand all of this better ... it's like a storm that is unpredictable, but in the midst of it there is so much beauty and the obvious display of God's power ...

Our whole Fullinwider family is going on a trip together in a week and we're planning to do family devotionals each day. Sydney will be at the top of our prayer list each day!!

We were at the ceremony at A&M for the new regents when we heard of Sydney's battle. Please know that her name has been lifted up in my prayers. Jan Owen at Highland Park Methodist Church has given me the background on Sydney. She sounds like a brave young child!
