You all are so precious. We pray constanly for all of you. I am at loss for words but I do know that
Jesus loves Sydney more than we all do. That alone is comforting. Hang in there and know that you are loved by many!!!

Lynette, The Lord has trusted you all with more than most of us could bear. To see how you lean into Him and seek Him in times of such suffering has mentored us all. Marcee assured me that His Word brings you comfort. I pray these verses will be an encouragement to you.

3) O send out Thy light and Thy truth, let them guide me;let them bring me to Thy holy hill' and to Thy dwelling places.
4)Then I will go to the alter of God,to God my exceeding joy;and upon the lyre I shall praise Thee O God, my God.
5)Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God, Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him, The help of my contenance and my God. Psalm 43

Although I had not spoken to Marcee recently and I had no idea so much was going on, I have thought of you all even more this past week...God is stirring our hearts to pray!

I have been strongly struck this week by what a privilege it has been to pray for you, with you this year. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Thank you for taking the time to write your thoughts, fears, prayers, joys, hopes, faith. You cannot begin to know how much you and Sydney have ministered to us this year in our own journeys of trying so hard to keep our eyes on Jesus and trust Him in all things. Thank you.

As I was thinking and praying for you this morning, my heart is continually drawn back to a simple verse in Exodus. As Moses was leading the people out of Egypt, he unwaveringly encouraged them: "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverane the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again."

... and then the simple truth: "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exodus 14:14

What a promise - we need only be still. And what a powerful warrior who is on our side. The only all-powerful and always victorious watchguard we could ever desire.

As the Israelites anxiously awaited what they envisioned to be certain death and/or terrorizing enslavement (exactly what the world's wisdom would convince them of) ... God reassured them of His plan, His presence, His power. His admonition probably sounded ridiculous ... "Be still" ... let me fight for you, don't be afraid. He really did have them covered in the most outrageous and mind-boggling way!

How comforting that our Lord never changes. That his promises are the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Your courage as you battel the unknown amazes me. I hope this small passage brings you great comfort today as He - The Lord Almighty - fights for Sydney.

I'm so glad James and the boys have decided to stay with you and Sydney. These are the verses that I meant to send you earlier today. Prov. 4:26 Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. Ps 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Deut. 7:6 The Lord has chosen you to be his treasured possession. Thank you for the updates. It's storming here in the Dallas area, and as I told a friend earlier this evening, storms are necessary for blossoms, fruit, and harvest; storms in our lives are no different; our Father is the husbandman, and He uses the storms and rain to produce His harvest of fruit in our lives. In particular I see the fruit of the Spirit growing in your lives through this storm, especially the fruit of love and peace, as your family grows stronger in love for one another and for God, and as you learn to experience the fruit of peace that transcends our understanding of the storms; ironically, the greatest peace is in the eye of the storm. God bless you both, and your precious children, and may He continue to give you love and peace.

We go to church with Peggy Dauster and have heard of Sydney through her. I just want you to know that my children pray for Sydney every night and have since we heard of her. My son wanted to know her status tonight and I was so blessed to read of her progress. God be with you.

YOU ARE THE GRAIN AND THE LOAF THAT SUSTAINS US EACH DAY, AND AS YOU ARE PATIENT WITH STRUGGLES TO LEARN SO SHALL WE BE PATIENT WITH OURSELVES AND EACH OTHER. JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT YOU ARE THE EMBRACE THAT HEARTENS AND THE FREEDOM BEYOND FEAR. Dear Lynette and Sydney-
We just want to check in and let you know we think about you guys everyday. Benton who is wrapping up his first year at college asks about Sydney when he calls home on Sundays and the rest of us continue our prayers. We will continue with our thoughts and prayers until Sydney is restored to complete health and with the impact you have had on us, i am sure for a long time after. We are especially praying for continued endurance for you Lynette (as a mom you amaze and humble me) and for Sydney's immune system. Lots of Love, Dee Ann
