Dear friends and family,

I don't think I can come close to expressing how much your concern and prayers have helped us. We carry around the notes and verses you sent to us. We play your voice mails and cry.

Sydney went to the doctor last Friday for a fever. The doctor called us the next day and told us to go straight to the emergency room. At the hospital They ran a blood test, hoping that Fridays test was incorrect. The doctor was noticeably worried. They checked us in, and by 9:00 pm we meet with a specialist in childhood leukemia. They were confident Sydney had ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic leukemia) a childhood leukemia. They were 85-90% sure. If not that it could be a virus messing up her blood work. The specialist were confident Monday night we would have a diagnosis. We meet, Monday evening, with the physician team and they said it was not ALL and the don't know what is. They are running more test and believe we will have a diagnosis, probably by Friday.

Sydney has had a low grade fever since Friday. Sunday they gave her a blood transfusion which made a noticeable difference in her. She has a cough that is causing some discomfort.

Sydney's spirits are great, she thinks she is on vacation. Her mom, grandmothers, and aunts are with her around the clock.

Lynette is incredible, as always. She is pressed, but not crushed. She is focused on Sydney like a mother lion protecting her cub.

Our boys know this is very serious and it is weighing on them. We pray with them and try to teach them to renew their mind with the truth.

Please pray for . . .

  • Sydney to be completely healed.
  • God to continue empowering us, because (at least for me) God has given me a peace and confidence in him that I have never had before.
  • Lynette, that she would experience an overflowing of God's peace.
  • Lynette, that she would continue to take care of herself.
  • us, especially at night.
  • our Medical Team.
  • that this trial be used to spread the Gospel and honor God.
Please know how thankful we are for you and how much we appreciate your concern for us.

We hear about a group here and there praying for us. Or others tell us how they were awakened and prayed for us. Your notes, calls, food and toys - it is all so helpful and encouraging.

Above all please keep us in your prayers.

James
